Food security is paramount to development says Mitaboni MCA Fredrick Muthoka

Mitaboni MCA Fredrick Mbuva Muthoka alias Ikumbini has said availability and accessibility of food remains a critical factor in growing the community and ensuring the survival of future generations.

On Monday, in partnership with Machakos county government they  shared maize and tomato seeds to farmers in Mitaboni ward, setting off with a significant number of farmers.

Muthoka said they also received further support of maize seeds from Haraka seed company to be distributed to 1000 farmers as a pilot sample and testing in mitaboni environs.

“We are combining efforts with them to ensure that our people can access affordable seeds to increase crop production and consequently food production. Our activity took place at Mitaboni Chief’s office” he said
