Wakili Mwengi Mutuse on Thursday launched distribution of food to all primary schools in Nguu/ Masumba ward in Kibwezi West Constituency.

According to Mutuse, the program is in realization of the food insecurity reality on the ground and is aimed at complementing government and other stakeholder efforts of retaining pupils in school.

“We then moved to Mithumoni Primary where, with Alumuni, we started the renovation of classrooms,then Itaava where we are almost completing a new school block” he said

He later, handed over 5 newly renovated clsssrooms to the community of Ndulu Primary school and headed to Kitende primary where he donated school fencing materials.

He said in all the stations, the people have clearly said that they want leaders who champion for development that uplifts their standard of living.

He also also campaigned for Timothy Maneno.

Mutuse has become a darling of the Kibwezi west as they have been calling for him to run for the parliamentary seat come 2022.

This comes at a time when the current Member parliament Dr Patrick Musimba is set to flex his muscle at the governor’s seat in a bid to succeed Governor Kivutha Kibwana.

A spot check in the constituency has seen many resident hail praise to the renowned lawyer citing that he has vast experience to take them forward.

After much consultation and lengthy discussion, residents and other stakeholders have decided Mr Mutuse  should vie for the parliamentary seat.
