Former cabinet minister in the Kibaki administration Mutua Katuku has appealed people in Ukambani region to enlist as voters in large numbers.
Katuku who unsuccessfully contested the recent Machakos County Senatorial seat encouraged the community to take advantage of the the one month long voter registration exercise.
“I wish to take this opportunity to appeal to our people to register in large numbers during the ongoing voter listing.This will give them the chance to elect the right leaders with a clear governance and development agenda for the region”.
The former minister thanked residents of Nguu/Masumba Ward in Makueni County for conducting themselves maturely during October 14,2021 by election campaigns.
He congratulated the new MCA elect Timothy Maneno (Independent) for recapturing the seat he lost in the 2017 general election.
He underscored the importance of educating wananchi on the need to elect leaders who have their interest at heart.
