Prof. Phillip Kaloki: The AIDS pandemic has persisted for a long period

The AIDS pandemic has persisted for a long period partly because of our reluctance in taking decisive action against the disease by instituting transformative measures to end the disease prevalence.

These measures include:
1. Having community-led systems and ensuring our people have access to HIV testing and treatment centres with equitable access to medicines.

2. Investing in people-centred data systems that highlight inequalities.

3. Most importantly, ensuring our essential workers have the necessary tools and resources to deliver services to our local community.

In line with this years theme to (End inequalities.

End AIDS. End pandemic.)My administration will ensure we partner with the national government and other organisations in the fight against the pandemic towards the attainment of the global objective of ending AIDS by the year 2030.
No one is safe until we are all safe!
